Here's a nice pic from Juli's phone of Lila sleeping like a lil angel. She's been kicking ass at sleeping lately, going for 4-6 hours at a time. Such a good little girl, now all she has to do is keep it up for the next 18 years or so.

HalloWEEN pics!

Went spent Halloween down in Balboa with Mark and Vicki and went sailing on the boat with Anamique's parents. Afterwards, we carved pumpkins, drank mimosas, and went trick or treating... maybe not in that order. It was a good Halloween, and Vaughn even wore the monkey suit and went door to door getting treats. Lila was the hot dog and I was Spamalot - or something. That's what you get with last minute costumes.

We (were) on a boat!

Today, we went on a boat! Uncle Mark took us sailing, and only about a mile or so off Newport we saw a nice little pod of whales pretty close by... there was about 6 of them spouting all over. Maybe going again next weekend in Catalina, we'll see... Woo-hoo!

Whoa, is it almost November???

Time sure does fly... I kinda forgot about keeping up with this. Well, not really forgot but just been keeping busy. Uncle Mark and Aunt Vicki have been here on their boat, and they've been wonderful to have around. It's nice having dinners with family (and the occasional babysitters!) and we've really been enjoying it. We haven't gotten a chance to get out on their boat with them, but we will make of point of it before they shove off to Mexico - they'll be here 4 more weeks.

When not on the boat, they are staying in a cool old 1 bedroom house in Balboa down by the Wedge that Mark's cousin owns as their beach casita. His father built it 80 years ago when there was only 2 other houses on the block, total cost: $2900 - I couldn't imagine being on Balboa Peninsula when houses weren't inches apart and into the multi-million dollar range. Must have been really cool back then, cause even with all the crowded houses and people now its still very nice!

Juli and I are getting into the groove of things with two kids, it's not so hard... I've even been able to get more surfing in the last two weeks than I can remember. It also helps that it's October, the weather is great, the waves have been really fun and Juli has been very accommodating in letting me get out of the house. I figure since now I'm so old and all, I'm going to have to keep surfing so I don't turn into a fat slob, because there's pretty much no way I'm going to be doing any other sort of exercise.

Happy Birthday Wifey slash Mama!

Today is Juli's 29th birthday! She is the most awesome girl in the world, the best wife, best friend, best mom to our kids, etc, etc, etc... I'm so lucky. Love you Babe! Here are a bunch of old photos of us from when we first started dating in 2005, and beyond.

This was the first time she met my parents about a month after we started hanging out in Florida at my cousin's wedding. Two minutes after this photo, she was so wasted she fell out of her chair in front of everyone. My family laughed and clapped, and my aunt said, "Oh, she's a Marshall!"

This was later that same night, we went looking for a place to get water at 1 am and ended up in a Hooka Lounge. It was strange...

Dinner with the family

My parents were in town for one last weekend, after their ship was delayed en route to Hawaii. We had a nice gathering at my brothers on Saturday and a dinner Sunday night at Tantalum in Long Beach with my parents friends and Juli's dad. We actually had a nice dinner at a nice restaurant and even though Vaughn was running around like crazy the whole time, we had enough hands to share in the chasing so everyone could eat and relax a little. The food there is really good, I had a Kobe beef burger and it was amazing! The photos are that great, but that's all I got these days...

4 weeks down, a life time to go

Yesterday Lila was 4 weeks old! It's been a hectic month... and I have a feeling its never gonna stop, we have a long way to go! ahhhhhhhhhhh!

I'm baaaaaaack!

Wow, seems like time is going by crazy fast. First we had baby numero dos, then there was a tradeshow in san diego, luckily for us, my mom came down and stayed with Juli. Holy crap, how easy must it be to have kids when your parents are close by! It's been nice for us, but my mom and dad are shipping out this week... Speaking of this week, work is nuts, the Goons are Doom are here from Oz playing a bunch of shows, and It's my birthday. Juli and I are officially going out, at least once, maybe even twice this week. We have so many good photos of the kids, I don't even know where to start... I don't wanna piss off Juli, so here's one of me and Lila that she took of us yesterday while we slept in bed all day! Woo-hoo!

In less than a week from today, Juli and I will be the proud parents of Ms. Lila Dove. Who would have thought that I'd have two kids by the time I was thirty? Not me! I always knew I wanted kids some day, but I really didn't think it was going to happen this quickly... Juli is a trooper for putting up with all the crap that comes with being pregnant... She's been feeling pretty good lately, all things considered. As we get into the home stretch for number two, it all becomes pretty surreal. Only a few more days left to get stuff ready for another baby in the house! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

Summer fun in Newport

Juli is mad that I'm putting pictures of her "fat ass" in a bathing suit. But you can barely even tell that she is more than 8 months pregnant in these pics so I'm doing it anyway. I was trolling my friend Jamie's Facebook page the other day and I saw this picture that said, "first grade - mrs. campbell's class" I thought about it for a second and then realized that I was in that same class... Yup, there I am third from the left. I think I was pretty ahead of my time, look at that red denim. Stylin' since first grade!

My Dad emailed me this two photos. The one on the left is me when I was a baby, the one on the right is Vaughn from last week. Same dutch boy hair, though mine is much lighter. I think if we lived in Hawaii and Vaughn was outside a lot his hair would be a lot lighter too. That's all.
